Description
It calculates the distance between two UK post codes in metres. and then using a formula, converts meters into miles.
Other columns on the same row also have different formulas in different cells to calculate costs per mile, add various expenses and total the cost of the job.
Unfortunately when re opening the file sheets recalculates the values in all the cells. This is causing a delay every time I open the sheet.
I require the sheet to not recalculate if a value is already present on re opening. Only blank rows need to be able to calculate values from the formulas applied.

1) Do you use native Sheet functions, or Apps Script codes to derive the values?
2) Are you comfortable with a button/menu option/trigger which will "refresh" the desired cells only? This way, the calculations will not be done, until you trigger that. It will save time, and be considerably faster. -
Hi Alan, can you share the sheets link, please? I have done similar work, and if the sheet is not quite complicated, it should be just 1 hour work for me.

Hi Alan
Could you please share the link to your google sheet so that I can analyze how the formula is currently setup on your sheet.
If your formulas are purely written directly inside the relevant cells then there is no way to prevent it from running each time the file is opened or cells are changed as the way google sheets works.
I checked but there is no way of turning the manual/auto calculation off on google sheets however the only solution would be to change the cells in the relevant rows that have your results to "Values" - removing the formulas where applicable
