Description
Experience Level: Entry
I have done the following...
sudo mount /dev/sdb /mnt/WarehouseFiles
I'm not able to create any files or folders unless using sudo in terminal.
sudo chmod o+w /mnt/WarehouseFiles does not change the permissions, no error messages. I've also tried:
sudo chmod -R -v 777 /mnt/WarehouseFiles
I get the confirmation:
mode of '/mnt/WarehouseFiles' changed from 0755 (wrxr-xr-x) to 0777 (rwxrwxrwx)
...but the change has still not actually happened as it still appears to be drwxr-xr-x after running ls -l and I'm still not able to write to the directory. The magic word is "samba"
"defaults" are set for the auto mount in fstab.
I will give £15 to whoever can remote-in (with Teamviewer) and fix this.
