Description
Experience Level: Entry
We currently have a spreadsheet that uses VBA to open a link in an Internet Explorer browser, with support for IE being discontinued we need this changed so that it now opens a browser in Chrome or Edge.
The current process is as follows - we input an invoice number into the next empty row in excel file, excel looks up this number from a another file and populates relating information such as name, order number and address. Once this number is entered the current VBA automatically opens a link in an IE browser tab. When we enter a new invoice number on the next row excel opens this link in the same browser tab, this is by design, we don't want multiple tabs being opened.
As mentioned the current Excel file works perfectly with IE, the project would be to convert this to opening with Chrome or Edge. Ideally, we don't want to use Selenium however I appreciate this may be the only solution.
