Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
General information for the website: Coaching Services
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: Estimate change .php and .css files
Description of requirements/features: I have a NEARLY perfectly working Wordpress based website and I need a small bit of coding to fix a display issue. Support tell me I need to do this:
"You might then find it easiest to wrap the site logo / title in a new div class (in header.php), and then add styling to center it along with the styling above."
Explanation:
When the site displays on large screens the menu and dropdown navigation looks great.
When the site displays on smaller devices, the logo and site title are left justified while I have successfully created a centred menu navigation.
I have been in touch with the theme support team who have given me this advice:
I have customised the theme using Simple Custom CSS as follows:
@media all and (max-width: 1024px) {
.menu-toggle,
#navigation.vertical-center {
display: block;
}
.navigation-main ul.menu {
display: none;
}
#header .menu-toggle {
padding: 0;
text-align: center;
width: 100%;
}
#header #logo-title {
position: relative;
}
}
The display still isn't right.
They have suggested the following as well, and this is what I want help with:
"You might then find it easiest to wrap the site logo / title in a new div class (in header.php), and then add styling to center it along with the styling above."
The header.php is affected, as is css/style-mobile.css (where I believe a media query may be needed).
I can provide the files for further analysis if needed before quoting.
I don't believe it is a big job for a knowledgeable coder. For me, time is important as I want to get this done as soon as possible.
