General information for the business: We take garments and embroider names on them within hours.
Description of requirements/functionality: This is our current problem. We have a computer program that automatically generates embroidery designs from excel files. The excel file has to be in a very specific layour with specific headings. If Names are written in the correct columns of this excel spreadsheet and dropped into our order folder, the designs generate.
Normally we hand type the orders into excel. Sometimes we miss type what our customer wants and we have to redo the embroidery. I want to create a form that a customer can fill out with all of their embroidery information and then an excel file will be created with all of their entries in the right columns.
Here are the requirements
1) Each new customer must fill out a form with 8 Blanks in it
2) The form will then be physically printed out and attached to the garment that we are embroidering.
3) Each form must have its own order number
4) The printed form must include all of the information that the customer filled out, as well as a bar code referencing the order number
5) An excel file must be created and saved automatically into a specific folder on my computer. I want the creation of this file triggered by pressing a print button on the form. I can send you the excel file that shows which lines in the form should be mapped to which columns of the spreadsheet.
OS requirements: Windows
Extra notes: The output must be in xls but the form can be anything. It can be a custom built form, or adobe form, whatever works easiest. I also need some logic programmed to calculate total cost.
