Description
Experience Level: Expert
I would like someone to build me a standalone program, or give me code and instructions to run on existing software, which allows me to scrape the contents of some news articles.
There are four large news sites for which I have a list of URLs. I would like to capture the contents of the articles, such as headline, the text of article and tags. The format differs slightly between the four sites but not by much.
I work on a PC. The final project could either be a standalone tool which I just run (i.e. point it to my list of URLs in TXT and CSV format) or a series of instructions which run on an existing scrapping tool. If it's the latter then the tool needs to be free and easy to use for a non-coder like me.
Here are articles examples of each of the four sites, along with the elements to get from each (reading top to bottom of page):
Site 1 https://www.temporary-url.com/59F (Section, headline, author, date, full text, tags at bottom of the article)
Site 2 https://www.temporary-url.com/1F1DF5 (Section, headline, author, date, full text, tags at bottom of the article)
Site 3 https://www.temporary-url.com/D9E0B4 (Headline, summary, author, date, full text, tags at bottom of the article)
Site 4 https://www.temporary-url.com/59B5 (Section, date, author, headline, full text)
In the 'full text' element I do not want images, image captions or advertisements.
The output should include the original URL and be in CSV format.
Please apply with timeframe and cost. I am ready to start now. Please also include the phrase "Yes, I have checked the sites and requirements" at the very start of your reply or it will be ignored. This is to save time and prevent bots applying.
