Hi,
I'm looking for a programmer to write a program to encode and decode binary files to text files in assembly language. MASM to be exact. Also I need it to be done within 24hrs.
Specifics of the project:
Files to be submitted to me: the .asm(the actual code) file, the .com or .exe file (the compiled program, whichever is easier for you to work with)
Create a binary to text encoder and decoder written in assembly language(Microsoft Assembly Language).
yEnc is to be used http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YEnc
1. Upon launching the program, it should ask you:
Press "e" to encode or "d" to decode (yEnc):
Then wait for the user's input.
2. If e is selected, it should then say:
Please enter the input file name (encode):
The user enters some file name that is located in the directory the program is in (eg infile.dat), then he hits enter. If file not found, it should give an error and saying: File not found, please try again:
It then asks:
Please enter the output file name:
The user enters any file name eg outfile.dat (the extension doesn’t matter, it could be outfile.txt)
The encoding then takes place and the encoded file is saved in the directory as outfile.dat or whatever name was give.
After Encoding, it gives the message:
infile.dat(which is the file name given) has been encoded to outfile.dat using yEnc coding method
3. If d is selected, it should say:
Please enter the input file name (decode):
The user enters some file name that is located in the directory the program is in (eg infile.dat), then he hits enter. If file not found, it should give an error and saying: File not found, please try again:
It then asks:
Please enter the output file name:
The user enters any file name eg outfile.bin(the extension doesn’t matter, it could be outfile.dat)
The decoding from yEnc back to binary then takes place and the decoded file is saved in the directory as outfile.dat or whatever name was give.
After Decoding, it gives the message:
infile.dat(which is the file name given) has been decoded to outfile.dat using yEnc coding method
It’s a very basic encoder/decoder using the yEnc coding method which should produce 1-2% overhead. Please get back to me ASAP. This is my first time posting a job, so I’m hoping to find good, honest programmers who won’t screw me over.
Thanks so much in advance,
Mac
