Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: Escape Room
Description of requirements/functionality: Stuff that i'll use:
Arduino Uno
DC motor with 12V power supply
L298N controller
Electromagnetic lock controlled with relay
Digital magnetic sensor
How it should act:
Arduino must open or close the door based on inputs received.
There will be 2 inputs (same input on 2 different pins) signaling to open the door and 2 inputs (same) to open the door. These inputs will be received from other arduinos via relays.
The magnetic sensor detects when the door is closed.
There are two states: the door is closed or the door is open.
Door is closed and arduino receives the ‘OPEN’ input: electromagnet relay goes from HIGH to LOW, DC motor turned on for 1 second counterclockwise.
Door is open and arduino receives the ‘CLOSE’ input: electromagnet relay goes from LOW to HIGH, DC motor turned on clockwise and stopped when the magnetic sensor is on (electromagnet relay remains HIGH).
If arduino receives the OPEN input when door is open, or CLOSE when door is closed, nothing should happen.
