I have an issue with my dedicated server with 1and1. I had recently updated centos to latest version but apache crashes every 5 to 10 hours. Its been running fine for many years until recently since the update. I have extensive knowledge of apache myself but this constant crashing is hard to resolve. In the error_log their is countless entries of of sigterm and sigkill. I have checked the httpd.conf configuration for pre-fork and worker.c and its set to optimum settings. After the apache server crashes I have to run /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all then restart /etc/init.d/httpd restart. If I try to restart the server before run reconfigure-all I can the following message: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80 no listening sockets available.
I need a well experience apache expert to advice me as to what is causing the crashes and how to get apache to autorecover when it does crash.
