Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need a mathematician/statistician/actuary to develop an algorithm to analyse tiny amounts of data (initially), output being a tool that can used to compare the income and capital movements of 30 UK investment trusts (mutual funds), to define from thirty years historical data a projected path of future income payments, subject to bounds, limitations etc.
The data set covers 30 funds plus 2 indices, 30 years with single income and share points per year, plus c5 annual attibutes per trust 9mutual fund). I need the person to define what the relationships show or don't show, if there other statistical relationships that can be seen / are worthwhile exploring etc.
This is the first algorithmic analysis of a tiny dataset for a start up seeking funding to develop this type of income analysis for large datasets, so potential for ongoing, outsourced development work.
The underlying company is expert in investing in these types of assets., has been doing so since 1995.
Budget will be a fixed price - however if I put up a budget funnily everyone reckons precisely what it costs! This is a professional services project, it will need maths modelling skills, perhaps matlab, perhaps statistics, suit post grad or academic as well to work with us.

Good afternoon,
I am extreamly interested in this project and would ask at this stage of the process if you can indicate how many records there are in the dataset you have available.
Kind regards,
Carl.
