Adaptive video knowledge system for a goalie training Web App

Hey,

I’m looking for a developer to build the core learning feature for a goalie training platform.

Here’s what it needs to do:

A goalie watches a training video. The video freezes at certain points and asks a question.
If they get it right → they move on.
If they get it wrong → the system takes them through support layers for that same question:

1. Normal speed video
2. Half-speed (slow motion)
3. Quarter-speed with freeze frame or photo
4. Finally shows the correct answer in the breakdown

It’s not about a score. Every question has its own loop. The goalie keeps going on that question until they get it right. After the first full round they get more freedom (they can jump layers, repeat, etc.).

Other important parts:

- A question is only “owned” when the goalie gets it right twice in a row, in two different sessions
- Every missed question goes on a Focus List
- Later sessions start with the Focus List questions (newest misses first)
- There’s a reaffirmation system that slowly brings back older questions
- Steps are taught 2 at a time and the quiz is always cumulative (newest first)
- Full learning record for every question (what layer they used, when they finally got it right, etc.)
- Simple dashboards for the goalie, coach, parent and admin
- Almost everything should be configurable by admin (number of rounds, attempts, etc.) nothing hard-coded

This needs to feel supportive, not punishing. The goalie should never feel like they failed just that the system is helping them until it clicks.

- Have you built anything similar (adaptive learning, layered video, knowledge checks)?
- Rough timeline.
- Any questions you have about the logic
