Description
Experience Level: Expert
I'm looking for a talented 2D games designer / animator to help bring a children's musical learning device and web app to life. Using 80's inspired Nintendo Game & Watch mini-games to make tuning and musical skill development fun, encouraging children to spend less time looking at screens and more time playing real instruments. The app is around 70% complete in Lovable, and I'm looking for someone with a great eye for game feel, retro UI, simple 1-bit/LCD animation and interaction design to create a consistent visual style across a series of short tuning games. This is paid freelance work with the potential for an ongoing collaboration.

Hi Will,
Before providing a detailed implementation plan, we'd appreciate clarification on a few points:
1. Approximately how many mini-games are planned for the first release?
2. Do you already have gameplay mechanics defined, or will the designer also contribute to interaction and game-flow ideas?
3. Will you provide sketches or wireframes from the existing Lovable project?
4. Besides the web app, will the same artwork be used on the physical learning device?
5. Are you looking for final production-ready assets only, or would you also like interactive prototypes in Figma?
Looking forward to your response.
Best Regards.
