PHP/MySQL Expert to Review and Improve our Application

We have developed an in-house PHP web application that pulls data from various APIs on a scheduled basis, stores that data in a MySQL database and then performs various calculations on the data, outputting it in different formats. The calculations are quite complex with a lot of averaging, based on our own proprietary algorithm. As it stands, the application is fairly crude with no error checking and is not very well optimised.

As we begin to scale, we need a PHP/MySQL expert who can take what we have built, quickly understand what it is doing, and then refine/rebuild the system to optimise speed, efficiency and scale.

This first stage of the project will be to undertake a review of the application (we would send the code and database) and, with limited input from us, propose a schedule of improvements (along with estimated costs) that will improve the speed, scalability and reliability of the application.
