Personalized Diet & Calorie Tracking App – MVP Proposal

Technology Stack
- Frontend: React Native + Expo + Cursor (mandatory for AI-generated code acceleration)
- Backend: Supabase
- Monetization: Superwall for subscription payments

Project Goals
The MVP aims to offer a fully personalized and editable diet plan, allowing users to track their daily calorie and macronutrient intake. The app will initially be available in English, but will be translated to Brazilian Portuguese before launch.

Key Features
1. User Onboarding & Personalization

Users answer a series of questions about basic information, dietary goals, health restrictions, eating habits, and physical activity to generate a fully tailored diet plan.

2. AI-Powered Diet Plan Generation

Based on user responses, an AI (Gemini, Deepseek, or ChatGPT) estimates daily caloric and macronutrient needs.
A meal plan is generated with up to 8 meal slots, depending on user preferences and lifestyle.

3. Diary – Daily Food Tracking

Users can log meals and track progress through a three-section dashboard:

- Meal Calendar: View past meals with full history access.
- Daily Nutrient Overview: Monitor calorie, protein, carb, and fat intake.
- Recently Eaten: Quick access to frequently logged meals.
- Meals added to the diary dynamically update daily nutritional targets, ensuring users stay on track.

4. Smart Meal Logging Options

Users can log food using:

- Text input (searching a food database or AI-powered recognition)
- Voice input (AI interprets spoken meal descriptions)
- Image recognition (AI identifies food from photos)

5. Subscription Model

- Account creation via Google or Apple login.
- Access requires payment (quarterly or annual subscription).
