We have an existing MSSQL database which drives our POS and customer account system.
We have a need to make this available to customers on an app in both iOS and Android. We have created a new table in the database to store login information (Username / Passowrds in MD5) as well as some validation dates by SMS and eMail.
Once an online account is created for use on the app (and validation fulfilled) a customer can add an existing account or create a new one.
We will provide all the SQL code for the INSERT of the new accounts and assist with data matching for linking an existing account.
The opening screen post login will have our loyalty card logo and the mock-up of a blank loyalty card in the top half.
A customer will have the ability to Add or Link. Once a new account is created (or an existing account successfully linked) the card will populate with the loyalty card number and a bar code representing that number.
The “in focus” card on the screen will drive the data in the four tabs at the bottom of the screen.
As we allow multiple cards per user login, we want the ability for a customer to Add or Link as many cards as they wish and can swipe between cards left or right.
The currently selected one ‘in focus’ is what drives the data in tabs Balances / Transactions / Promotions / Menu)
We want these four tabs at the bottom of the screen (Balances / Transactions / Promotions / Menu). The information generated from each tab will depend on the currently selected Loyalty Card in the main screen.
The Menu tab will contain the following options (My Account / Gift Cards / Contact Us)
My Account shows the address information held in the offline database and allows the address, mobile and email information for the offline account in focus to be updated.
Any INSERT or UPDATE done via the app will automatically sync to each POS Terminal on our existing system. No additional coding is required for this to take place.
Gift Cards will essentially be an INSERT or a new customer and a payment being taken first using Stripe integration. An eMail will be sent to both the purchaser and the recipient. We will provide all the SQL code for the INSERT and help make the Stripe integration coding available to you.
Contact Us is a form for a guest to submit comments or queries to us directly via email from the app.
The attached images are for layout reference only. We do not intend to replicate these tab names but only the above.
The SQL is quite simple but the app must use MSSQL with our existing database. We are not having MySQL alongside MSSQL.
