Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I want to finalise a ColdFusion site for an art gallery.
The areas where I need help are as follows:
Import data from the existing (php) site to this new CF site.
Front End requirements
When you click on any of the names listed on the 'Artists' page, you should see the title of the work and a thumbnail image of each piece of that artist's work. Thumbnails to run across three columns %u2013 i.e.,
Thumb1 Thumb 2 Thumb 3
Thumb 4 Thumb 5 Thumb 6
Thumb 7 Thumb 8 Thumb 9
When the visitor clicks on a thumbnail, they should then see a page with full details on that particular work and a larger picture of it. The visitor should then be able to move backwards and forwards through the artist%u2019s range of work.
Back end requirements
When adding a work of art to the database, I want all the functions currently listed on the %u2018addart%u2019 form to work (which you%u2019ll find in the admin folder) %u2013 i.e.
IsSold (Yes/No)
NFS (Yes/No)
Current Stock (To populate the 'Current Stock' page)
Exhibition (To populate the 'Current Exhibition' page)
Online (Yes/No)
Date Added (Add to 'Art' table)
New Acquisition (To populate the 'Latest Acquisitions' page)
Rather than deleting artists and art from the database, take them off line.
All will come clear when we look at the actual sites!
