Build a Smart Rent & Bill Split MVP for UK Flatmates

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Architect / Developer to help us design and build an MVP for a smart rent and bill split platform aimed at UK flatmates and shared households.
This project addresses a very real and growing problem in the UK: managing shared rent, utility bills, payment tracking, and reminders in a simple and modern way.
We are not looking for a full production-ready platform at this stage.
This is a Phase 1 MVP / prototype project for someone who can think at both the product and architecture level, while also being hands-on enough to deliver the first working version.
Scope of Phase 1:
• Simple user flow for adding flatmates/household members
• Rent and bill splitting logic
• Basic dashboard or summary view
• Payment due dates/reminder flow
• Clean, modern, mobile-friendly interface
• Sensible backend architecture for future scaling
What we need from you:
• Strong full-stack architecture experience
• Ability to define the right MVP scope without overengineering
• Experience building SaaS, fintech-like flows, or household/payment tools is a plus
• Clear communication and practical product thinking
• Ability to recommend the best stack for speed, simplicity, and future growth
