I am looking for a BASIC Xcode project that shows networking/making api calls to a REST API using modern Swift. It must include the following:
- Networking classes in their own code files. So, abstracted away from ViewControllers etc.
- Must be able to call the networking functions from ViewControllers - so, passing in the API endpoint, the post type, any relevant data (JSON body for a POST etc), and creds passed in for a BASIC auth.
- Well documented in the code files explaining what each part is doing in readable English.
- An example ViewController with functions that make a GET request and a POST request passing in JSON.
- Print out the success and error responses from the API calls to the console. (No UI work or updating the UI etc, just logging out to the console is enough).
No external libraries or pods to be used. So, no AlamoFire or similar. This has to use first-party classes and frameworks within the latest iOS SDK, so using URLSession etc.
I haven't included a budget for this as all recommended budgets are for full iOS apps. Whereas this is just for a couple of basic networking files that should hopefully be easy enough for an experienced iOS developer.
Please ask any questions ahead of time for any clarifications etc. Thank you
