App Development + microcontroller

I need an app, and an embedded electronic component designing. This will be for an IOT device, that will controlled through a phone.

- IOT device will connect to wifi
- App will be able to discover any and all of these IOT devices on same WIFI and display them all
- App will read from these devices to find their saved settings
- App will be able to change settings on any of these IOT devices
- App will be for IOS/Android and work on all phones
- App will look semi professional for consumer use

- Electronic component (EC)
- EC will be able to connect to wifi
- EC will be able to receive commands from the app
- EC will be able to have its settings read from the app
- EC will be able to send input/output signals
- EC components should be cheap and able to be produced on a larger scale


I have an electronics engineering degree and have worked in software for 4 years, so have a good technical ability to help in the design phase.
