(Android) Create SearchView for mobile app (Recyclerview)

I need code provided in order to SearchView based on data I am pulling from api, which is shown in Recyclerview.
App design is complete, just need to implement the code for the search view to filter the cards being generated.

I know this is quite a simple task, and I have provided the 2 reference documents that would need the additional coding added to it.

I would like an app developer to simply update the two documents provided so that I can upload the changes on my end. The code is in Android Studio for Android devices.
