Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
General information for the app: The app provides information about Fr. Alvaro del Portillo and the process of his beatification in the Catholic Church
Kind of development: Customization of existing app
Num. of web pages/modules: 30
Description of every page/module: The app is fully functional and has been published (ios and android). It has 2 different menus taking the user to specific sections: news, videos, biography, downloads, etc. We make use of 5 phonegap (cordova) plugins - inappbrowser, socialsharing, emailcomposer, file, fileopener2 - and the Accordion List extension for Sencha Touch 2.
Description of requirements/features: In the current android version, android "back button" functionality has been disabled (when tapping on it, the user is asked if he/she wants to close the app). For the next version (within this month of June), we want to implement the expected back button behaviour taking the user to the visited pages (history). A feasible solution can be found at http://thanksmister.com/2012/07/06/handle-android-hardware-back-button-using-phonegap-and-sencha-touch-2/ but we just need to implement it and make sure that it is workable. If not, another solution must be found at http://docs.sencha.com/touch/2.3.1/#!/guide/history_support.
Specific technologies required: Javascript (Sencha Touch 2, PhoneGap). I am using Sencha Architect 3 (Sencha Touch 2.3.1 version) and Cordova 3.4.
Extra notes: I am not a professional developer and need the full code clearly implemented, as I am time pressed with other projects. It is not required to work with Architect 3, but the code should be clear enough to be introduced with this framework tool.
Would the completion of this task be satisfactory, new tasks are sure to be demanded, for this app or for others.
