The developer will create a prototype Android app together with a prototype backend system on linux using php and mysql. Because this is a prototype there is no need to focus too much on the look & feel and there will be some obvious missing elements which can be built on in later projects. At the end of this first project we need all code and source code.
- when the app is installed the user must signup by entering their name, mobile number (UK only) and email address. It will send an email with confirmation link, and also send an sms with a different confirmation link (we will provide a http/post api for sending sms)
- the individual app installation together with a unique user id will be logged in the backend php/mysql system and marked as "not yet signed up"
- the user clicks on the link in the email and it launches the app and "confirms" the email address
- the user clicks on the link in the sms and it launches the app and "confirms" the mobile number
- once email and sms are confirmed, the individual app/user in the backend php/mysql system will be marked as "signed up"
- the backend php system will have the ability to send a Notification to an individual phone (using the unique user id). The Notification will show a summary piece of text. we need a simple php function we can include and call from another part of the backend system
- when the user clicks the Notification it will launch the app and display the full details of the Notification. This will include a piece of text and an image that are sent by the backend system. It will also display a green "Accept" button and a red "Deny" button
- when the accept/deny buttons are pressed they will communicate to the backend system, including the unique user id, and this will be logged in the DB. the php function that is called should be easy for us to hook into for doing additional functionality whenever it is called
