Description
I urgently require a web-based educational live and assigned games / quiz management system, similar in concept and functionality to Quizizz.
The platform must allow students to participate in interactive quiz games through a live link and/or unique game code, without requiring students to create user accounts. The system should support unlimited or high-volume participants joining the same game session through a shared link/code.
There must be a secure admin panel where we can create, edit, duplicate, publish, and manage games/quizzes. The admin should be able to create different question types, including:
Multiple-choice questions
Written answer questions
True/false questions
Image-based questions
Audio/sound-based questions
Timed questions
Points-based questions
Questions with explanations after answers
The system should allow us to add pictures, audio files, sounds, and other media to questions and answers where required.
The platform should include both live game mode and assigned/self-paced mode, so students can either play in real time during a class or complete the game independently within a set time period.
Required features include:
Live leaderboard
Real-time score updates
Student nickname entry before joining and selection of Avatars
Unique game code and join link
Teacher/admin dashboard
Question bank
Ability to create categories, levels, subjects, and classes
Timer settings for each question
Automatic marking
Manual review option for written answers
Game reports and analytics
Student performance data
Export results to Excel/CSV/PDF
Ability to reuse and edit previous quizzes
Mobile, tablet, and desktop responsive design
Clean, modern, child-friendly interface
Secure login for admins/teachers
Option to show questions on a main screen/projector
Option for students to see questions on their own devices
Ability to add branding, logo, colours, and custom domain
The live gameplay should be smooth, fast, and engaging, with instant feedback, score animations, rankings, and a professional user experience similar to Quizizz, but built fully for our own organisation with our own tailor-made dynamic questions, answers, subjects, and branding.
The system should be built on our own website/platform and must be scalable, secure, and easy to manage by non-technical staff.
Please provide:
Your best quote
Fastest possible turnaround time
Examples or samples of similar systems you have built
Recommended technology stack
Whether you will build from scratch or customise an existing platform
The best quote, fastest delivery, strong experience, and good working samples will be prioritised.

Hi Adam,
Approximately how many students do you expect to join a live quiz session simultaneously (100, 500, 1,000, 5,000+)?
Looking forward to connecting. -

For the live gameplay experience, do you want a fully custom-built platform from scratch, or would you be open to customizing an existing quiz/game engine to reduce development time and cost?
-

Hello Adam,
Can you please answer below questions
1. Approximately how many concurrent students/users should the live game sessions support during peak usage?
2. Would you prefer the first phase focused on core live gameplay and quiz management first, with advanced analytics/reports and classroom management expanded afterward? -

* What is the expected maximum number of students in one live game session at the same time?
* Do you need all listed features in the first urgent version, or should we prioritise a clean MVP first with quiz creation, live mode, assigned mode, game codes, scoring, leaderboard, and reports?
* Should students see questions on their own devices, on a main teacher/projector screen, or should both modes be supported from launch?
* Do teachers/admins need separate roles and permissions, or will one admin account type be enough initially?
* How important is real-time performance under high load — are you expecting classroom-size games, school-wide competitions, or larger public events?
* Should written answers require manual marking before final scores are shown, or should they be excluded from live leaderboard scoring until reviewed?
* Do you already have branding, subjects, categories, and sample quizzes prepared for the first version?
* Should the platform be built fully custom from scratch, or are you open to customizing an existing quiz/game framework if it speeds up delivery?
-

Would you prefer the real-time gameplay to be hosted on an auto-scaling, low-overhead platform like Supabase Realtime, or are you looking to deploy a dedicated custom Node.js/WebSocket server on an infrastructure like AWS to manage your high-volume student sessions?
