JOB BRIEF FOR PPH: ATTIO-TO-MAKE BROADCAST EMAIL AUTOMATION
The Problem
We need to send regular broadcast emails to any managed contact list in Attio. Attio's native broadcast feature throttles at five-minute intervals between sends, capped at 12 per hour per mailbox. A batch of 50 contacts takes roughly four hours to clear. We need a Make automation that pulls contacts from any Attio list on demand, sends personalised emails via Outlook/M365, and logs each send.
The Desired Outcome
A Make scenario that:
• Triggers via webhook from an Attio action button ("Send Broadcast Email") placed on any list
• Accepts custom email subject and body via a form modal
• Pulls all contacts from the triggering list where include_in_broadcast checkbox is ticked
• Sends personalised email to each contact via Outlook (salutation: "Hi [first_name]", custom body, subject)
• Logs each send to a new "Broadcast Log" object in Attio (timestamp, recipient list, subject, body, status)
• Clears all include_in_broadcast checkboxes after send completes
• Handles errors gracefully (partial failures recorded in log)
Technical Context
• Attio workspace (CRM platform)
• The workflow must be generic: it should work on any list in the workspace, passing the list context through the webhook
• People records linked to lists with email address and first_name fields
• New fields to create: include_in_broadcast (checkbox, added to lists we want to broadcast from); Broadcast Log object (new object)
Email provider: Microsoft 365/Outlook (M365 account connected to Make)
Before You Apply
You must already be confident you can execute the following in Make. If you need to learn these capabilities on the job, we are not the right fit:
1. Query Attio lists dynamically with filtering (specifically: filter list entries on a checkbox field, with the list ID passed via webhook)
2. Retrieve linked person records from Attio with specific fields (email address and first_name)
3. Loop through results and send personalised emails via Outlook/Microsoft 365 in Make
If you have built similar Attio-to-email workflows in Make, or you are confident in your Make and Attio capabilities, apply.
The Build
• Webhook trigger from Attio action button (generic across any list)
• Form modal for subject/body input
• Dynamic list query with filtering on include_in_broadcast checkbox
• Linked person data retrieval
• Outlook send loop with personalised salutation
• Broadcast Log record creation (new object)
• Batch checkbox uncheck after send
• Error handling and retry logic
• End-to-end testing
What We Provide
• Attio workspace access (read/write via API)
• Make workspace access
• M365 Outlook connection (already configured)
• Attio object and field IDs (shared during onboarding)
• Attio action button webhook URL (created before build starts)
What We Need From You
• Confident capability in Make + Attio + Outlook integrations upfront
• Clean code and documentation for handover
• Hourly rate for the full build

-

Hi Trevor, approximately how many contacts do you expect the largest broadcast list to contain? That will determine the most reliable execution strategy in Make.
-

Hi Trevor,
One quick question: will this automation only be used by a single user, or do you expect multiple team members to trigger broadcasts at the same time? -

One quick question. Approximately how many contacts do you expect to send in a single broadcast? This will help determine the best batching and retry strategy.
-

For the Broadcast Log object, is the structure already created in Attio or would that need to be set up as part of the build?
