Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Skills required: Woocommerce, php, MySQL and XML.
We are developing an ecommerce website using WooCommerce. The website needs to integrate with our customers ordering system using XML feeds.
The ordering system needs to access the website via a “restful interface” using 3 separate requests.
1) The first feed will request a list of the current “live” orders
This call returns an xml stream that is an xml file containing a set of records. There is 1 record per “current” sales order
Each record then contains the following fields: OrderID, ShippingFirstName, ShippingLastName, ShippingAddressLine1, ShippingAddressLine2,
ShippingTown, ShippingCounty, ShippingPostcode, ShippingCountry, TotalGoodsValue, ShippingCost, VATAmount
2) The second feed requests the order details for each of the current orders. This call is made as many times as there are orders
OrderID will be added to the URL to request the relevant order.
This call returns an xml stream that is an xml file containing a set of records. There is 1 record per Line of the specified sales order
Each record then contains the following fields: OrderID, PartNumber, Quantity, UnitPrice
3) Finally we need to issue a request to tell the website to flag an order as shipped. This call is made as many times as needed
OrderID will be added to the URL to request the relevant order.
This call does not return anything.
