Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: We sell industrial equipment onlin
Description of requirements/features: I've been trying to fix an error with our downloader on Magento for a while now. Please note whilst reading this that I'm not an expert and will likely use incorrect terminology here and there!
The first thing I've noticed is that both Mage_All_Latest and Interface_Adminhtml_Default are missing from downloader (and also when using the ./mage list-upgrades command). Something to note here is that we can't access our /admin section at all as it's just blank, so it does appear to be missing entirely somehow.
When I try installing something (Mage_All_Latest for example), whether in downloader or using the ./mage commands, it gets as far as either 'Downloading xyz.tgz... done: 8,222 bytes' or sometimes makes it to 'Checking Dependencies of Packages' before stopping and prompting for the next command, having done no upgrade.
If I use the command './mage upgrade-all --force' it will error on the first extension (it always has, even when downloader worked, so that's a separate issue), but once it's moved onto the next item in the list it gets to Checking Dependencies again and just stops straight away, without attempting any further upgrades on any of the other extensions or components.
Up until I upgraded to 1.9.1.0, this always worked OK. I notice now though that we do have some extensions at 1.9.1.0 and some still on 1.8.0.0, so something clearly went wrong with the last upgrade (which also removed our admin and Mage_All_Latest...).
At the moment the front end is showing a bunch of errors from my attempts to replicate the upgrade errors so I could accurately describe the job here. I'm hopeful that getting everything upgraded will fix the new error showing on the front end, as that was working until today!
So, to recap, I'd like somebody to troubleshoot and fix the issues with the Magento Downloader. The site is www.globalois.com, though I can't see that helping much in its current state.
Please don't hesitate to let me know should you have any queries or require any further information.
Many thanks in advance
Scott
