Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hello dear developers.
IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO READ THE WHOLE JOB DESCRIPTION, PLEASE DON'T EMAIL ME, as I have already received many unprofessional emails thank you very much.
I need a new modern and businesslike looking e-commerce site www.yperano.com from which I can sell a catalogue of 9000+ items, hosted with a new provider, and easily maintainable and updatable by myself.
An important feature would have to be that I can update product information (add new items, delete items no longer available, update pricing, etc.) easily and that I have full control over the site.
Another important feature is that the new site can easily 1) embed videos for each product as this seems to be a good product selling feature 2) allow me to present several pictures of each listing (each item for sale).
Ideally (but not necessarily), I need to find some sort of interim fix for the old (Drupal based) Yperano site so that I can continue trading while the new site is being developed. This requires some analysis of what is causing the transactions on the site to fail with SQL errors when using the 'buy now' or 'add to cart' buttons - this problem has happened since the current host updated some aspects of his hosting server infrastructure (we are not sure exactly what he did) and it has been difficult to get much information out of him.
We need some automated way of extracting / exporting product information from the current site so that it can be incorporated into the new solution EFFICIENTLY. I would prefer to move away from Drupal to something that is easier to maintain and less likely to fail on host platform updates.
Can I please hear your suggestions and rates?
PLEASE NOTE: It is very important that you address the concerns mentioned on this description, instead of just mentioning your rates, or asking by what time we need everything done (we are not in a terrible rush if you worry about that). I would urge you to make written suggestions, as I am not the only person involved in the decision making. I need to be able to relay (copy / paste) what each developer suggests, discuss with my team, then make up my mind. Therefore I definitely need written suggestions.
