We’re looking for an experienced Shopify developer for ongoing work across multiple eCommerce projects.

This role is focused on building high-quality, custom functionality. Not just editing themes.

You’ll be responsible for:

Building custom Shopify sections and widgets beyond standard theme capabilities
Turning design briefs into pixel-perfect, fully functional builds
Creating bespoke content rows and layouts based on design specs (Figma)
Implementing custom promotional logic such as “spend £X, get Y”, tiered offers, and conditional incentives
Enhancing and extending Shopify functionality where needed
Writing clean, scalable code using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Ensuring strong performance and fast-loading storefronts

    Are these builds usually extensions of existing themes, or do you prefer a more modular custom architecture from the start? For the promotional logic, do you want offers like “spend £X, get Y” to be configurable from the Shopify admin, or is campaign-specific hard-coding acceptable where needed? And when you mention Figma-based custom rows and widgets, are the mobile states and interaction behaviour already fully defined in your design files, or would you want that interpreted during build?
    Those three points would tell me very quickly how best to structure the work and how lean or flexible the implementation needs to be.

    1. How flexible should content management be for your team (metafields vs fixed layouts)?

    2. Should promotional logic be fully configurable from the admin or hard-coded per campaign?

    3. Are we extending an existing theme or building a more modular system from scratch?
