Project Description
We are a UK-based Shopify ecommerce brand seeking a highly experienced tracking specialist to audit and optimise our Meta (Facebook/Instagram) purchase tracking setup.
Our store uses:
Shopify
Google Tag Manager (Web container)
GTM Server container hosted via Stape.io
Meta Pixel + Conversion API (CAPI) via GTM
This is NOT a basic pixel installation job. We require a specialist experienced in server-side tracking and Meta deduplication.
Current Issues
Purchase Event Match Quality score is 6.8/10
Meta Ads reporting more conversions than Shopify
Missing key parameters (e.g. fbc, external_id)
Need validation that event_id deduplication is correctly configured
Need confirmation that no duplicate purchase events are firing
Scope of Work
Audit Web & Server GTM containers
Ensure proper passing of:
fbc & fbp
external_id (Shopify customer ID or order ID)
email and phone (hashed)
Confirm correct event_id deduplication between browser and server events
Validate purchase count and revenue accuracy
Improve Event Match Quality score (target 8.5+ where feasible)
Provide screenshots from Meta Events Manager confirming correct setup
Provide short documentation summarising changes made
Required Experience
