Currently we are in the process of developing our new store ready for launch. Unfortunately the people we purchased to template from are not helpful enough with the customisations that we require.
Job 1 -
On the homepage we currently have 3 widgets
A 'new from date' widget
A 'special price' widget
A 'all products' widget
However if we have a product that is a new product with a special price it has the ability to appear in all 3 widgets which is not good for SEO or user experience.
What we would prefer is widgets that we could easily choose what products appear in that widget.
Not to bothered about how it works providing it does not require editing a mile of code. Aslong as it has the same look and style it does now. And is SEO friendly.
Secondly where the two banner images are further down the page I was looking to get another image to fill the space that once had anther product widget. It is currently a static block that requires the additional HTML coding. That space will either be filled by another banner image or it will be linked to a page. If it can be filled with a placeholder image that would be great.
With regards to the homepage order we would like it to be
- special Price
- Banner images
- New from Date
Above each widget it would be great if we could have some title text that we could edit. If we wanted to change this a bit.
Job 2 -
On the homepage you will notice the menu system bellow the banner.
As you begin to scroll that banner moves to the top of the page. And becomes a static element.
However sometimes, as you scroll the menu bar moves to the top of the page too soon, leaving a huge white bar under the image.
We would like that fixed if possible.
We understand that these jobs may seem, easy and simple, but with all the other jobs in setting up an ecommerce website it's much easier to outsource some.
Cheers
