Magento Carparts shop with TecDoc integration from TecDoc Database

Description of requirements/features: Dear freelancers,

we are looking for a very experienced magento developer.

- You have already finished magento-projects with a very large number of articles (500.000).

- You are able to transfer articles from the TecDoc Database in 3 different languages into the magento database.

- Despite the amount of articles the finished shop should have very high performance on the frontend and the backend side.

- You are able to analyse the structure of an external database (TecDoc) and import articles from this database into magento.

The article information should be extracted from the TecDoc Database available via FTP. The article information needs to be updated every 3 month via cron-job according to the tecdoc release cycle. Fror more information on the structure of the Database, please check out the attached file.

On the magento fron-end articles can be searched by manufacturer partnumber, OEM-number, users can also select there cars by Manufacturer, modell, type or Licence-plate for UK, France or KBA number in Germany.

Building a b2b functionality with a different price structure depending on customer roles.

All article informations should be exported directly from the TecDoc Database into a .csv format, one for every language. We can provide export specifications for the format.

Price+availability comes from the ERP as a .csv file and should be imported as a cronjob every day. The identification for the article would be a combination of TecDoc ID of the manufacturer and the article number.

All written code needs to be well documented.

The Project will be divided into 5 Milestones.

Milestone 1:

"Test access to TecDoc database.
Will need to determine exactly the structure of the database, tables and field names.

Determine format of exported data.
Implement export of data from TecDoc database."

Milestone 2:
"Import of products into Magento Community edition latest version.
A very important task here will be to determine what is the proper data model for Magento and how can all the data from TecDoc be integrated in Magento.

Optimization, ensure proper site behavior despite the large number of products."

Milestone 3:
"Export of TecDoc update upon new TecDoc release (3 months period).
Update of Magento products.

This update will be determined based on the differences between 2 versions of the database.
Of course the shop needs to keep its products, orders and so on so we cannot start it all over."

Milestone 4:
"Nightly update with ERP prices and availability of products.
Very important task here to limit the duration of the update to a reasonable time. The rebuild of Magento cache and index will be critical."

Milestone 5:

"Magento presentation of data. Also admin customization for TecDoc related data.

Search by manufacturer, part number, OEM-number.
Users can also select their cars by manufacturer, model, type or licence plate for UK, France or KBA number in Germany.
TecDoc independent additional images and description text that do will not be modified upon TecDoc update.
