Description
Experience Level: Expert
Skills:
Umbraco - uCommerce - JQueryMobile - Responsive Design
This project is to build the shopping experience for a web site hosted in Umbraco CMS. The products available will only be a handful. Payment Gateway will be through Authorize.Net. The Order will be captured and sent in XML format to a web service that is already in existence for the Fulfillment of the order. The solution must be designed under Responsive Design to be available in Desktop / Tablet / Mobile devices.
eCommerce platform will be built upon uCommerce, Standard Edition.
Project Specifications:
Install uCommerce.
Build a protoype umbraco content node to show that product can be displayed and ‘Added’ to the cart.
Add to cart would not take visitor off of page, rather the cart would display in a popup dialog, and then transition back off the page. Or this could be an ajax call and have the cart visible on the page - the developer can help drive this solution.
Collect all information from a customer that will allow the product to be fulfilled. Contour would be a great platform to use for form generation.
Name
Shipping Address
Billing Address (if different from shipping)
email
phone number (optional)
Integrate Authorize.Net as the payment Gateway
Only process Orders that have been ‘Accepted’ by Authorize.Net
Combine the following in a XML packet (structure is already developed) to be sent to a web service (already exists) for Order Fulfillment:
Products Ordered
uCommerce order/transaction number
Customer Information
Authorize.Net authorization id (for integration with customer transaction).
Cart does NOT need to be persistent.Confirmation page will be displayed.Confirmation email will be sent.
For the electronic version of the book:
Create a doctype that has a key (text), entry for a key (text), html if entered key = key, html if entered key != key, electronic book (Media url).
The key will be passed in confirmation page and confirmation email.
The customer will return to a URL that will ask for the key. If successful, the file will be downloaded.
