Clear old product data and upload new product data to magento site

I have cleared products via Manage Products
BUT
I can still see the product list in Manage Categories -> sub category -> category products

I have:
Products list (csv and xml) with 1st row magento header fields ready in /var/import
Images ready in /media/import

Your job is to
1. Clear out all the products database. Make sure its clean and empty, then upload the new product list with images. You may want to check my csv/xml before running dataflow import.
2. Make sure that it is displayed in Manage Products
3. Make sure that it is displayed correctly with images in web page
