Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are building a private commercial intelligence platform for the UK logistics and fleet sector.
We have already brought together a substantial amount of public, regulatory, financial, property, fleet, licence and operational information covering approximately 64,000 UK fleet operators.
The core data is now held in a structured PostgreSQL database in Supabase, with separate records for operators, legal entities, licences, operating locations, fleets, financial history and events. We also have a private GitHub repository and a secure Next.js application deployed through Vercel.
We are now looking for an experienced Supabase and data engineer to review what has been built, confirm that the structure, security and source controls are suitable, and identify anything that should be strengthened before the next phase.
The next stage is to create a controlled, ongoing enrichment system using APIs, scheduled datasets, regulatory publications, RSS feeds and relevant company or sector news.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in Supabase, PostgreSQL, data engineering, API integration, scheduled ingestion, entity resolution, historical change detection and data provenance.
The result should be a reliable and continuously updated intelligence engine that turns fragmented external information into clear, evidence-led and explainable intelligence about individual fleet operators and their operating locations.

Your Project is feasible and doable, just wanted to know are you flexible with the budget? if yes then let's connect.

Hi Michael, thanks for the invite. One point we'd like to clarify: how are fleet operators currently matched across different data sources when company names, trading names or addresses vary? Do you already use a canonical operator ID with source-specific identifiers, or is entity resolution something you'd like reviewed as part of this phase?
