Secure Rest API to build based on a MongoDB

Target
The mission is to implement a secure and completely independent REST API connected to a MongoDB database.
Secure: The request will have to contain authentication information to access the database.
Independent: it will not be directly connected to any application and will be hosted in an ubuntu server.

Context
The MongoDB database contains a list of objects (in Json format), we want to exploit this database from an application already deployed by making the two communicate through secure API requests/responses.
Only two endpoints are needed for the moment.

Constraints
The database contains millions of rows, so we need an optimal code
