Description
The database manages Courses, Delegates, Memberships, examination bookings and provides a few simple reports.
I need to recreate the database function with some minor changes. I have no preference about the final database system, except I prefer not to have to pay a regular subscription. I would like to import the data from the existing database as part of the project.
I will then be looking for ongoing support and maintenance, which is not critical as part of this project. In addition, when we have a working system, I need some minor changes to be made to the current functionality.
We are only a very small operation so our choice of who to proceed with must be based upon the costs of getting a functioning database that will replicate the current system. I would, also, accept proposals based upon breaking or removing the current database password. However, payment then to be on results, i.e. production of a copy of the unlocked back end data.
I can provide copies of the front end so the database structure can be seen. I can also provide out-of-date copies of the back end data, following assurances of the protection of the confidentiality of the data.

Hey Andy, do you have (or can you obtain) an authorised, accessible copy of the back-end data (e.g., the unlocked file, or a full table export), so we can import/migrate without any password-bypass work?
-

Are key business rules (like duplicate membership prevention or exam eligibility checks) enforced inside the database, or only through the front end forms?
-

Hi Andy, is it a encrypted MS Access database file?
-

Hi Andy,
Where is the Backend currently located, is it on internal server or a Cloud Service? -

Hi Andy
Do you know which version of Access the database is running on (.mdb or .accdb)?
Roughly how many users will need access to the new system at the same time? And are there any specific reports or workflows you’d like improved beyond replication?
Thanks.
