Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hi all,
I've had a recent malware attack and had to wipe my wordpress websites. I had 2 sites and fortunately I have backup for both. Both sites use plugins that store data (ie 'Events'), one is simple the other more complex. I'm not over worried about recovering the plugin data but need to recover the websites.
I have backup files but no idea what to do with them. I 'think' I need to to join the data tables in the backup into a single ZIP file and 'simply' upload it to make the whole website work again.
I'm not a 'technical' person but have a colleague who helps me from time to time who is proficient in a broad range of technologies and can provide more detailed explanation if needed.
I don't have ANY idea what this sort of job is like and realise that it's very likely to 'depend' on how complex it is and how much we want to restore additional data .... I have indicated a 'sort' of maximum I'm anticipating but anticipating some negotiation.
I don't respond to generic replies so please give me some indication that you've read the request. Also I'd be very grateful to have dome idea of timescales - it isn't critical but I would prefer sooner to later.
