General information for the business: We have built a data integration platform to support the 4th Industrial Revolution
Database management system (DBMS): PostgreSQL
Description of requirements/functionality: A pilot project to test a flexible data schema to see if it is faster and easier to use than our current ElasticSearch setup. We want to end up with a schema that can accept any property in the future, on any object and allow fast search/filtering.
The plan is to take a two-table schema and map all our data across into it and see if works.
Table 1:
ID, Name, Type, Pointer
Table 2:
ID, Property, Value
Pilot goal - how does this perform with 10 million rows and will it scale to 100 million?
Specific technologies required: PostGres and Python
