PHP/MySQL checks and search function

The aim of this project is to help complete an alpha version build of a site that allows users to post goals that others can help them achieve.

I need someone to check what has been built so far (most of the site is in place), to work out why data is not being passed from the PHP code to the backend database. (for example, the registration and login functions, as well as the 'goal' posting) and to fix this.

The site is to be 'keyword-driven' therefore, i also need a search function built that returns posted 'goals' containing the requested keyword in the 'goal-title'

There may be a couple of other small tasks that come up.

The deadline for getting this done is by 2009 - as i think you can see, this is really only a few small tasks that should not require too much time / effort
