MySQL DB View Assistance

I want to create a database view with some calculated fields.

I have a number of jobs that have to be either started or finished by a date, depending on what sort of job type it is and I want to measure if a job is a success or failure.

The view will select the following fields selected from one table :

Job Number
Due Date
Job Type
Collection Date
Delivery Date

and a calculated field will be called 'Result' or similar and a calculation will be performed based on job type and the dates, i.e. when jobtype = 1, if Collection Date = Due Date then Result = 'Success' else Result = 'Fail'

Hopefully only a short bit of work for someone to create the code, I would normally spend a few hours on Google to get there but under pressure so hopefully PPH can help ! I need this complete by 24/9/13.

Please ask any questions or make suggestions appropriately, on reflection this may be better as a stored procedure ?
