Description
Experience Level: Entry
Job Title:
UK IT Specialist Needed: Fix Corrupted MP3 Album Artwork Sync (Windows to iPhone 16)
Job Description:
I am looking for a UK-based IT support specialist or audio metadata expert to resolve a persistent sync issue between my Windows laptop and an iPhone 16 running the latest iOS.
The Problem:
I have a library of approximately 100 ripped CD albums (MP3 format) on Windows. When syncing them via the native Apple Devices app, the album artwork appears completely scrambled, greyed out, or mismatched inside the iOS Apple Music app. This is a known modern Windows Apple Music/Apple Devices metadata index conflict. Basic uninstalls, Mp3tag, and CopyTrans have failed because the Windows background cache is deeply corrupted and overriding the file headers.
Scope of Work (via remote screen-share using TeamViewer or AnyDesk):
1. Purge Cache: Completely purge the corrupted, hidden Apple Music/Apple Devices system cache folders on the Windows PC.
2. Bulk Tag Format: Force-format the 100 MP3 album tags into Apple-compliant ID3v2.3 (UTF-16) structures in bulk.
3. Reset iOS Database: Clear the system-locked iOS media database cache on the iPhone 16.
4. Controlled Sync: Perform a batched, controlled sync so all 100 albums sit perfectly in the native iPhone Apple Music app with 100% correct artwork.
Requirements:
• Specific, proven experience fixing Windows-to-iOS iTunes/Apple Music database and metadata corruption.
• Excellent communication skills and availability for a live remote desktop session during UK daytime hours.
• To filter out automated AI spam proposals, please start your application response with the exact words: "I know how to clear the iOS media cache." Applications without this phrase will be ignored.
Budget:
Fixed Price: £100 (Estimated 2–3 hours of work).
