Improving an Excel Database

I require help improving a project planning pack in Excel. I'm looking to recreate similar functionality to MS Project but in Excel.

I have created an automated Gantt but I would like to add symbols for Milestones, Decisions and dependencies.
in the project plan I need to create a way of maintaining the milestone ID even if a line is added in the sheet. this is important as I would like to use the ID's to link the dependencies.

There may be more but this is the primary ask. i would welcome a 30 minute phone call to be included to confirm the scope.
