Image Capture Database Software required

We require a user friendly, easy to use, simple, image capture and database program.

The software will be used for patient records for dentists and oral hygienists.

When entering information, we will require the following fields:
- patient number
- first name
- last name
- self populating date field with calender option
- “situation” as listed below

There should also be an auto search function, which would bring up a list of patients when any of the first 3 fields are being typed in. For example, if a John Doe comes in, and the user types Jo, and clients whose name starts with Jo should appear in a drop down tab below, to facilitate entry.


As the software will be a data entry and image capturing software, it would have to create files/folders per patient. This way each visit of the client is recorded and kept in the same folder/database for future visits.

The imaging devices have their own drivers, but the current software they came with are not user friendly and have a lot of room for error.

Upon entering the preliminary information, the database must go into a secondary screen which allows the user to see the records of past visits, including pictures, captured from our hand held cameras, sorted by date of visit.

There must also be a drop down menu that would list different types of situations which we could provide you with later.

Based on these situations, we would like the database to fetch pictures we would have titled with these same situation names, so they may be displayed. (IE, dental decay chosen from the drop down menu, will bring up pictures of dental decay).

Their must also be a notes section in the clients main window, for new notes, and past notes to be posted, sorted by date of visit.

The images must be printable from the software. The images must also be saved to external folders as mentioned above. This will allow for the files to be saved onto an external memory device (sd/usb key) or, shared on a local network.

Sharing is also important. We want the software to be real time, and any updates inputted must be reflected on the other computers in the office. Therefore all computers would require the software to be installed, and the folders must be shared throughout the network.
