Fix up of mysql installed with vestcp ubuntu 18.04

I have a server ubuntu 18.04 and installed vestcp over it, I am facing an issue with mysql, I am unable to login to mysql with root user, in ssh I am getting error
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
When I try to login to phpmyadmin, I am getting errors for root user:
#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'pma'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed.
mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Need somone who have worked over vestcp configuration and ubuntu, I dont want to loose my db.
Let me know if anything mroe I can specify.

Try logging in as root without a password. Root linux user should always be able to log in. Then you can create your other users and their passwords.
