Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I'm looking to create a complex logic conditional form for authors to upload their books with tags and categories on the front end of our subdomain. The data should generate a CSV file that can be uploaded or transferred into our primary domain as a product in Woo Commerce. Attached is an example of the workflow (I have all categories and tags in a spreadsheet) and also a sample of the CSV file it should generate to export data from the subdomain and be uploaded/transferred to the primary eCommerce domain.
As the forms options would grow exponentially for the choices of "like authors and books" it would need to include a "search bar" in this section. To be clear, authors choose what authors and books they would compare their books to. In order to facilitate this, they would need a search bar that would display results based on their input, such as typing "king" would bring up "Tabitha King" "Stephen King" etc. which they could then choose from. Much like the existing search bar on our site (https://Bibliogarden.com/home).
The form will be built on our WP subdomain site https://authors.bibliogarden.com You will have admin access to the site to work from the backend as you need. If there are any specific plugins necessary to accomplish our desired goal please specify and we will install them if necessary.
I have pretty much oversimplified here but will be happy to elaborate and will guide you through the entire workflow:
Author registers or logs in (our plugin for membership is used here)
The author is taken to form on the front end where they enter data and use preset selections.
The author uploads their manuscript. Each section on the front end is assigned a name on the backend that produces data in a preformatted CSV file for download when completed.
The CSV file can now be uploaded to Woo Commerce as a product with all data and metadata.
Here is a vid link of my walking through the process as it should work. https://www.loom.com/share/aad8aaf663d44dd4a8fd28d803afefae
I DO HAVE A WISHLIST FUNCTION AS WELL:
If there is a way to auto import new author names and book titles when entered by users into our existing options in the drop-down search bar that would be awesome!
Thank you!
Jenn
