We are looking for an Azure SQL DBA to assist us as a freelance contractor from time to time. Please send a resume and your per hour costs.
Main Tasks:
Review existing SQL Server 2012 Setups
Measure and improve performance of SQL operations and indices
Implement redundancy for single tables and DB cluster
Be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues that arrive in the database
Collaborate with Software Development teams to encourage best practices
Develop procedures and scripts utilizing SQL for every-day operations
Requirements:
5+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience
Hands-on experience with SQL 2012/2014
Hands-on experience with MS Azure Cloud solutions
Advanced-level SQL programming
Knowledge and experience with PowerShell and RDP
Strong documentation skills.
Bonus Points:
ASP/.NET experience
IIS experience
