Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need someone to help me add to an access database in a school. The database works fine, but the school now need a series of forms for the staff to write pupil reports.
The school have been using this database for about 10 years - they use it for managing pupil data as well as other areas - bus list, on line daily registration, after school clubs etc. They are using Office 2012. The pupil's reports are currently written in Excel (using a VBA Form to check on data input and then imported into Access when all the teachers have written their reports. (there is always confusion here as they talk about the written reports for pupils and any developer always thinks that they mean Reports as in access) . There are about 20 users all needing access and the database is split into data and program - the program part of the database resides on the local client computers and is linked to the data files. They also remote into the system from home to a 2008 Server, that has Access loaded.
I want the teachers to be able to select a year group, and then to select the pupils in that year group one by one and write the report. It is important that there is a spell checker that runs when they finish writing each report. It would be good if we could have a global spell checker across the network (100 clients and 2 servers - domain and file) so that spellings can be uniform and in UK English.
I have developed this database myself and written the code, but need someone to help me with the code and look at the design as well.
In addition to a written report the teachers also need to give grade and effort marks. I will post a copy of the reports section of the database later today, when I have removed all sensitive data!
I want to have this working by the end of May
Any other questions please ask
Thanks
