Experience Level: Expert
Hi there, I'm a local politician here in the Noosa shire. Sunshine QLD Australia. https://www.visitnoosa.com.au/
Myself being the youngest. I have been asked to provide a presentation power point or what ever you feel like would get the message across the best. I'm hosting a talk about possible ideas for better transport solutions for the future of Noosa.
So if anyone out there has a good knowledge of transport and possible ways a small coastal town, with its biggest industry being tourism. Can arm its self for better ways to get around in the future. It would be great if I can hear from you.
All it has to be is a few examples of what other place around the globe have done. At the present Noosa has an issue with car-parking in the peak times. Do we choose a shuttle bus type example. I do know building a massive stroy is not only expensive, but proven building high level carparks only brings more cars, which our roads can hardly handle at the present moment.
Do we choose to up date bike lanes get people cycling in to the noosa main beach area. however, Noosa is an ageing population. old people will not all get on bikes.
Maybe some examples of new parking technology apps and so on. I know a-lot of that stuff is out there these days.
I read the other day. Small fold up scooter is a new thing in NY as to get around. I don't think it would work in Noosa. we don't have the population of NY.
Anyway if anyone is interested in solving real world issues like transport and how to get people in and around a coastal town like Noosa. Please feel free to contact me.
Cheers,
Jess
