Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
I want a spreadsheet that will allow people to add in all their debts, and the amount that they can afford to pay each month, which will take the APR and the amount paid, and will calculate the amount of time it will take to clear the debt.....once the first one is cleared, then rolling the monthly payment into the next debt to get that cleared quicker and so on.
I need it to be a good guide and a motivator, rather than an exact date on which they are going to be debt free..with a way of them playing around with it and seeing what a positive impact it could make to the speed in which they clear the debt if they were to be able to find an extra, say, 20 a month to go towards the debt,
ideally the spreadsheet would allow the inclusion of debts which have fixed terms and cannot be paid off early, and also where there is an introductory rate of APR which would then be increasing after, say 12 months.
Also, to be able to see the difference and decide between paying off the debt with the highest highest APR first (avalanche calculator) or the smallest balance first (snowball calculator),
Ease of user use is vital to encourage and motivate people to stick to it and reduce their debts. The best I have used was at www.whatsthecost.com but there are many less effective readymade versions out there which don’t quite fit the bill.
So, practical, user friendly and highly motivating, is what I am looking for please!!
