Experience Level: Intermediate

We need some occasional help with various issues which arise from time to time on our websites. We have two sites both in WordPress.
We ourselves are of the older generation and much of the IT stuff goes over our heads indeed, most of the IT terminology thrown at us is a waste of time. We are both age over 65.
In simplistic terms what we DO know is our websites could do better and indeed in the past have done so. But we do not know specifically what needs to be done to achieve this. We have had a number of people working on our sites and frankly some may have done more harm than good.
Unfortunately in the past when advertising for freelancer we are asked to provide a specific brief-we are unable to do this as we don't know ourselves. We need someone who can provide us a bit of support and a tidy up on our site. We do not have the budget for any long term work.
What we usually ask of the freelancer is "can you take a look over our websites and advise us where you feel improvements can be made?" Then how many hours and your price? Invariably the freelancer assumes we are seeking free advice from them and have no intention of using them. So often we have an impasse here. Taking a look at our sites learning what we do in our view ,is a basic courtesy and shows someone will embrace the job.
Freelancers applying from countries where their native tongue isn't English will need to demonstrate on Skype that they can communicate in English language.
What we pay depends on what you the freelancer have to offer. If you are outside the UK we would expect to pay a lower rate.
